Union Democrat columnist Chris Bateman and his 20-year old son, Ben, will hit the road June 1 for an 11-week, 3,850-mile cross-country bike tour. Help make their trip a success with per-mile donations- either for the entire journey or for the Trek across your favorite state. The Trek for the Track will help improve Sonora High School's Dunlavy FIeld, including new lights, an entry gate honoring Tuolumne County Veterans, and the centerpiece- the new all weather track. The first $100,000 in Trek contributions will be matched by the Irving J. Symons Foundation.
GOAL REACHED, TRIP OVER: Chris and Ben carry their bikes down to the Pacific for the mandatory wheel dip Tuesday, August 5th.
